Graphic Schedule (Bug correction)
You will remember a few posts ago about the problem on new installations where the system would not load (and thus form) the correct database schedules, the cause turned out to be VERY allusive. I believe that I have finally found a fix for the cause of the problem, at least I hope…

Inventory Navigator
I have added a Usage Graph to the “Transfer History” system. You will notice a second tab called “Usage Graph”. This Graph should make it much easier to view historical usage data for an inventory item to help aid in the decision making.

Contract Navigator
Redesigned a section of the system that relates to creating new contracts. Previously when creating a new contract for a customer, the system would automatically insert a task associated with the contract. The system did this irrespective of the contract type.

Now you have a new option in the “Service Contract Creator” called “Task Type”. The task type comes from the system wide Task Requested System. So you will need to first setup, if not done so already, some Task Requests. You can do this by double clicking in the field.

If you leave the Task Type empty, the system will not automatically create a task when that type of contract is created for a customer.

General System
Added the ability to allow ServiceXp windows in the Taskbar. So each open window will display a representation of that window in the Windows Taskbar. This setting can be found in the Front End User Option under the Other Tab.

Other Misc. minor corrections made….

Local Reports Manager Sub System
For those who needed to have a separate local (machine specific) set of the report settings now have it. When printing a report, the Report System now looks to see if there is a local set first, if found will use the local set and ignore the global set.

Graphic Schedule
1) New on screen event indicators that will display when ever there is an event that is currently not in the visible screen area. Clicking on these indicators will immediately move you to the very top or bottom of the schedule.

2) For those companies that have many tech’s, (thus many schedules) you now have the option to indicate the width of each schedule. Previously the system would auto size the schedules to fit all of them inside the window, this would make it difficult to view each schedule. There will be a horizontal scroll bar to allow you to move to the other schedules. (Note: There is still more work to do on this new system, as you cannot drag an event to a schedule that is not visible on the screen. (does not automatically scroll horizontally). The work around is to double click (edit) on the event and change the tech to the new tech, this will effectively do the same thing as dragging it.)

3) Under the right click menu, you can now transfer parts to a link event (work order). When selecting an event and using the transfer method, the inventory navigator open, and allows you to perform full navigator functions, each part transferred automatically moves to the work order.

Contract Navigator / Task Manager
1) Added “Months of:” interval type. This will allow you to set the schedule by the month(s), over “the last service date time interval”. The format would look like “Months of: SEP;JUN” ect.. Notice the “;” (semicolon) separating the months, it must be present when entering multiple months.

2) Created a “Task Capacity Graph”. This will allow you to see graphically how many tasks are schedule to post for service for the respective time intervals.

3) Added Sales Person field.

4) Added Preferred Tech field to Task Entry Frame.

Work Order System
1) Function to create work order from existing history, along with other functions. Double click on a History Entry from the customer, new work order or equipment windows History tab. From there follow the prompts.

2) Added red font indication to the “Service Address” button when a service address is found for a billing address.

3) Added an “Active” field to the Service Type system. Allows you to stop some service types from displaying in the system.
